Once upon a dream (Steve x Reader) Part 1
Sometime in the future, New Avengers Compound – In a universe where Steve didn’t go back in time to Peggy
The sun stood high in the sky. It promised to be a beautiful day. Steve, however, wouldn't be able to enjoy it. Together with Bucky and Sam, he was preparing for their most important mission yet. After defeating Thanos for good, the world had been in chaos for a while. World leaders hadn’t known what to do and that had given HYDRA room to rise again. Stronger than ever. Which meant that Steve wasn’t done fighting. Not by a long shot.
“What’s so special about this artifact, anyway?” Sam asked

The next day, you were having lunch together with your father and Glorfindel. Your father only did minimum effort to convince Glorfindel since he was stricken by your beauty already. Looking at your side, you refused to return Glorfindel’s loving gaze nor his flirtatious remarks. Thranduil noticed your silence and cleared his throat, causing you to look at him with begging eyes. In return, your father looked at you sternly, as if telling you to deal with it. Right after lunch, Thranduil has asked Glorfindel to walk you into the forest, subtly telling him to propose already. Luckily, the guards suddenly interrupted the supposed plan and told your father about Lord Elrond’s arrival. Your father is surprised by Elrond’s visit, ushering you two out of the court already. Glorfindel offered you his hand and you just looked at it, hesitating to hold it. Dismayed at your resistance, Glorfindel grabs your hand and forces you to walk with him. Just in time, one of the guards called you and

Elrond has been coordinating with the leaders in Mirkwood, including your father. Knowing that he returned a few weeks ago, he immediately told him upon your stay in Rivendell. Thranduil calmed down upon knowing it, trusting Elrond to take good care of you. Your father did not look for you because he thinks Elrond is not a bad choice for you. ‘Although he might be older than her, at least she did not choose any other lower ellon. Elrond is still a Lord and of high stature and a very capable man’ Thranduil thought to himself. During one of their meetings, along with the other elf lords and ladies, Thranduil casually mentioned to Elrond after the meeting, “I’m sending some of my troops to your aid, even if you’re keeping my daughter out of wedlock, I suppose that could come after your war.” Elrond chuckled, “I think you’re getting it wrong, mellon.” Thranduil looked confused at Elrond. “It is not I whom your daughter loves, it is Lindir, my assistant.” Your father’s eyes suddenly widened

The following days, you spent hanging out with Lindir instead of Arwen. Once he is done touring you around Rivendell, he then showed you how he takes care of the gardens and tells you stories from his favorite books. Sometimes he would lend you his favorite books while playing the harp for you. Today, he decided to teach you how to play the harp. He held your hands from behind, showing you the proper position to hold the harp. “No, no, this is the proper cord” Lindir corrected your fingers. He plucked the chords to show you the pattern, then held your fingers gently on the chords. Using your fingers to pluck the correct strings, Lindir produced such charming music with his harp. You gasp in amusement, then looked at Lindir. Seeing him so focused on teaching you made you blush. You promised Lindir to keep practicing as he let you borrow his harp in the meantime. Hugging the harp against your chest, you felt your heart skip a beat. ‘Is this it? Have you finally found the ellon you

Your brother eventually joined the fellowship right after their meeting, along with Aragorn, your friend’s fiance. You and Arwen helped send off the two men along with their new quest. Praying for your brother, you know deep inside that he will be fine. The mere fact that your father has sent him for this quest, he knows that Legolas is capable of himself. However, when you looked over to your friend, you saw Arwen tearing up. You proceeded to comfort her after the send-off, hearing her story and how her father disapproves of her relationship with Aragorn. It was a good decision for you to stay over, this way you can help cheer up Arwen. The next day, you joined Arwen for a stroll in the garden as she tells you stories about her and Aragorn. Then suddenly, you caught a glimpse of a tall familiar elf from the shadows. You pretended to listen for a while to Arwen to confirm what you see. You caught Lindir lurking around the same garden as well, feeling suspicious you glared back at him

When your brother Legolas returned from the battle of the five armies, your father gave you instructions to escort him to Lord Elrond. Since you were always there, visiting Arwen and delivering his mails to Elrond, he thought it would be best that you accompany your big brother. You thought this was a great opportunity to finally spend time with him before he got sent into another quest. You helped Legolas pack his bags after you packed yours, looking at the amount of items your bringing, he raised his eyebrow at you and said, “You’re just supposed to escort me then go home Y/N.” Chuckling you replied, “Shhh, ada wouldn’t know, he’s not here yet.” Your older brother often helps you cover up whenever you’re going outside of Mirkwood or whenever you’re meeting your other friends outside. Just like you, he is also a bit rebellious, maybe that is why he and your father don't always seem to agree. “I sent a letter to Arwen when I got a message from Ada to escort you to Lord Elrond” you
